Reasons I love fall: leaves changing color, pumpkin spice everything, Halloween, and OVER THE KNEE BOOTS!! I generally prefer warm weather over cold, but as soon as it even starts to get chilly out, I’m excited to break out my OTK boots. Luckily for me, London weather cools off a little earlier than North Carolina or even Maryland.

One of my favorite ways to wear over the knee boots is with a short skirt of dress. I get to wear them a little longer while keeping my legs warm. On the topic of my skirt, is anyone else loving that patent leather is back?! The subtle sheen of the skirt instantly elevates the look (it’s a little more of a high fashion look than if I wore one of my go-to denim skirts).

I paired my skirt and boots with my new cozy sweater from H&M. If you’re looking for comfy sweaters that aren’t too expensive, this is the place to shop. Every time I walk in (because there are 5 million stores in London) I’m instantly hit with sweater lust. Anyway, there is something so chic about a bulky sweater paired with a mini skirt and over the knee boots. It looks put together, but not like you tried too hard.

One last note: I recently went to the MAC store to find a new red lipstick for fall and came out with the one pictured above. I am in LOVE! It’s a deep red, but still bright and not purplish like many fall lipsticks. The ladies at MAC always pick out the best lipsticks for me, so if you ever need help definitely ask them.
