A little late to the game today, but better late than never, am I right? So lately here in North Carolina the weather has been all over the place. One day it’s in the 70s the next in the 50s. It feels like spring has already begun. So, due to the weird weather patterns, I thought talking about transitioning to spring would be a good blog post.

  1. My number one tip is to mix styles. In my outfit I still have my trusty skinny jeans, but I added my new sandals. The top has long sleeves, but it’s a cold shoulder top. This is the time when you can mix and match some winter and spring pieces.
  2. Another tip is to bring a lightweight jacket. Although not pictured, I added my thin, brown leather jacket just in case it gets chilly (plus I’m perpetually cold).
  3. Switch up your makeup! Here I’m wearing a bold pink lip color that I generally don’t wear in the winter.
  4. My last tip is to start integrating traditionally spring colors and patterns. This light blue (periwinkle?) is not something that I would usually pull out for winter. The pastel color screams spring to me. Try bringing pastels and floral patterns back in to your wardrobe as you begin transitioning.

Hope these tips were helpful! I know I for one cannot wait for spring. I’ve been loving the 70 degree weather, even if it has been cloudy. Comment below with your own tips for transitioning for spring! Until next week…

xo,

Carey
